Dental Implant
Implants are materials prepared from titanium, placed in the jawbone and mimic the tooth root in form.
Titanium is a 100% tissue-friendly material. It integrates by forming a special bond with the bone in the area where it is placed. In this way, the patient can use the implant as easily as if it were their own tooth .
Implants are arguably the material that best mimics the natural tooth in tooth deficiencies. Implants can be preferred in the case of a single missing tooth, several missing teeth or the loss of all teeth (total edentulism).
To whom and under which conditions can implants be applied?
In order to be implanted, the jawbone in the area where the implant is planned to be applied must have the height and width to surround the implant. If there is not enough bone, preliminary operations can be performed to prepare the relevant area. The quality of the existing bone is another factor affecting the success of the implant. Complete bone development is sufficient for the application. There is no upper age limit. Anyone in good general health can be implanted.
How long does implant treatment take?
After the operation, the implant and the jawbone take approximately 2 to 6 months to fuse. A temporary prosthesis can be used during this period. After the attachment process is over, permanent prostheses are made.

What should implant patients pay attention to?
Hygiene is of great importance in implant applications. Therefore, paying attention to the oral care of the person to be implanted plays an important role in the success of the implant.
Advantages of implant treatment
In the bone areas with extracted teeth, there is a loss of substance over time and the bones become thinner and thinner. This results in some changes in the facial profile. This bone loss is prevented by the placement of implants.
As chewing function improves, more balanced and better nutrition is achieved. Thus, stomach problems caused by inability to chew well are eliminated.
By providing a natural appearance and aesthetics, the self-confidence of the person increases.

Tooth Extraction
With the developing technology and the increase in the variety of materials used, extractions are one of the treatments that are gradually decreasing in dentistry. However, sometimes tooth extraction may be necessary for various reasons (a vertically broken root as a result of trauma, impacted wisdom teeth that damage the surrounding tissues, the necessity to gain space for orthodontic treatment, etc.). After extraction, if necessary, all alternative treatment options should be evaluated and rehabilitation should be provided as soon as possible.
