In patients requiring orthodontic intervention, if the case is appropriate, with the use of transparent molds, crowding can be corrected without the use of brackets and braces. The patient-specific molds, which will be changed every two weeks, should be used for approximately 20 hours per day.
The duration of treatment varies from 2 to 24 months depending on the case. During this time, the aligners should only be removed when eating, drinking or brushing teeth.
Approximately two weeks after the treatment, a new aligner is inserted, there are minor differences between the new and previous aligner that will straighten the teeth. Wearing aligners is a step to make the teeth look better.
